X-Clone Introduction
Nowadays, the most popular centralized management and maintenance tool for PC-Room is Symantec Ghost suite. But it is very complicated for configuration, and some LAN cards can not support. Some other users select the hardware LAN Card clone based on recovery technology. It is very unstable by connection and speed in different LAN environment. Since it has to disable the onboard LAN card and open the computer case to insert the new LANCard which support clone nction, it is very inconvenient and big waste on resource for administrator.    X-Clone is new advanced technology for PC-Room management and maintenance. It only need to select a PC as server and run X-Clone server program. No need to install client program, support all kinds of onboard LAN cards. It provides rapid and reliable hard disk data migration for hundreds of client PCs at same time. (In 100M LAN, it achieves stable speed 650M/Min. In Giga LAN, it can achieve 3.0G/Min.) No need to disconnect the internet connection. No need to disable other DHCP service in LAN. Assign IP and computer name automatically after X-Clone. Generally, it only takes around 20 minutes to refresh the whole PC-Room. During 2 years of field check, it was approved to be a better solution than NetGhost and other LANCard-base unstable data clone solutions. X-Clone is becoming a widely used enterprise imaging and deployment solution with ease-of-use for managing the entire PC lifecycle including OS deployment. More and more administrators are starting to enjoy this easy and efficient tool away from the boring maintenance of PC-Room.

X-Clone Features

¡ñ The X-Clone was running based on Mini-Linux OS, totally isolated from Windows OS. It ensures the complete data migration and no any data loss.
¡ñ Easy operation for non-skillful administrator. It can start X-Clone from Windows OS by WinMate program. Or only need to boot X-Clone from server PC by bootable CD or USB flash disk.
¡ñ Support all kinds of onboard LAN cards, no need to install client program or add other hardware PCI card. Only need to configure the PXE in client BIOS.
¡ñ No need to prepare standard server OS as NetGhost, no need to create images file, can start data migration directly from server to all clients.
¡ñ The X-Clone is much quicker and more reliable than NetGhost and other migration solutions. For hundreds of client PCs, the speed can achieve stable 650M/Min in 100M LAN and 3.0G/Min in Giga LAN.
¡ñ To start X-Clone, no need disconnect the internet line, no need to disable other DHCP service in LAN. The client automatically linked to the X-Clone server by PXE connection. During X-Clone, the multicast data migration will not affected other normal working PCs in same LAN.
¡ñ After X-Clone, the IP address and computer name will be configured automatically. No need to set them one by one on all client PCs.
¡ñ Support USB flash disk and USB movable hard disk. Administrator can create bootable USB flash disk to hold X-Clone server program. To save the image file into this USB flash disk and restore the image as well. Moreover, if happen problems, can create log files into this USB flash disk easily.
¡ñ Support hard disk type: IDE, SATAI, SATAII, SCSI.
¡ñ Support OS: DOS£¬Win32£¬Win98£¬WinNT£¬Win2000£¬WinXP£¬Win2003£¬WindowsVista£¬Windows7, linux and Mac OS.
¡ñ HDD Read/Write Test and Network Speed Test can help judge the hard disk and network performance quickly.
¡ñ Even if the MBR or booting area of hard disk was destroyed, the system can be restored easily for sure through system image which included the booting and hidden sectors.
¡ñ It is compatible with all kinds of popular recovery software or PCI cards used in PC-Room. After X-Clone the system drive which included booting sectors, the recovery can work normally, no need reinstall them.
¡ñ This is a pure software solution, no need additional hardware. Reduce the hardware cost and give administrator highest efficiency.
¡ñ The X-Clone WinMate program can run X-Clone from windows without using the bootable CD or USB disk.

X-Clone Functions

Local Clone Functions:

¡ñ  HDD ReadWrite Test: It is to test the local hard disk read / write speed. (Generally, this speed will be the maximum speed of local clone options.).
¡ñ  Partition to Image: It is to create the image of selected partition. This image file can be restored locally or be restored to remote client by NetClone - Image to Remote.
¡ñ  Disk to Image: (For this option, this PC must have one more hard disk to save image file.) It is to create the image of selected local hard disk and save to other hard disk in this PC. End user can netclone this image to remote client PC for disk clone.
¡ñ  Restore from Image: (For this option, there must have image file in local hard disk. If not found any image file, this option will be disabled.) It is to restore the image file to original partition or another local hard disk
¡ñ  LocalClone-Partition to Partition: (For this option, the PC must have one more hard disk. ) It is to clone the selected partition from one local hard disk to another local hard disk.
¡ñ  LocalClone-Disk to Disk: (For this option, the PC must have one more hard disk.) It is to clone the selected local hard disk to other local hard disks. X-Clone can clone 1 local hard disk to other maximum 7 local hard disks.
Net Clone Functions:
¡ñ  NetClone - Network Speed Test: It is to check the average speed from X-Clone server to all client PCs. Generally, this speed is possible to be the bottleneck of the X-Clone speed. If this speed is very slow, end user need to check the network card, switch, network cable. In 100M LAN environment, the normal speed should be around 650M/Min.
¡ñ  NetClone - Partition to Partition: It is to clone local partition to remote client hard disk. The X-Clone is working based on the hard disk sectors. End user must make sure that the server partitions are exactly same as the client partitions by sectors. To ensure this point, it is recommended to run NetClone-Disk to Disk first. In this case, all hard disk partitions will be exactly same for future X-Clone operations.
¡ñ  NetClone - Disk to Disk: It is to clone local hard to remote client hard disk. Generally, the client hard disks should be exactly same. Brand, Model and size. X-Clone also support small disk to big disk. E.g. If server hard disk is 80G, the client hard disk is 160G. It can clone the 80G to 160G. After clone, end user can use Disk Manager to repartition the rest 80G of client hard disk. After format, the additional 80G can work normally. At next time, for this environment, the NetClone-Partition to Partition (Partitions in original 80G hard disk) can work normally.
¡ñ  Image to Remote: It is to clone the partition image or disk image to remote client hard disk. If partition image, it will detect whether the client partition is same as the image inner record from original partition. If same, it can start NetClone - Image to Remote. If disk image, it will detect whether the client hard disk is same or bigger size than the image inner record from original hard disk. This is same logic as the NetClone - Disk to Disk.
