I have other chipset Lancard but not RLT8139 series, how to use netclone function?

You should change your Lancard to RLT8139 series. Then you can use this netclone function. We had tested a lot of different Lancards, only RLT 8139 series can support netclone very well.

1. Prepare a mother hard disk as server computer.
2. Install NetResQ card into this server computer.
3. Restart server computer and enter Main menu of NetResQ card by Home key when rebooting,
4. Select Transmit Data and enter “Collecting Clients” screen.
5. Install NetResQ card into every client. Select “Receive Data” and connect the server .

Note:
You should install the client one bye one in sequence. The network node will increase one by one. This sequence is the Computer ID auto assignment sequence as well.
Sometimes, for some main boards, the NetResQ card can not find the? empty HDD in client computer. Please use bootable FDD or CD to enter DOS status and input command A:\>Fdisk/MBR Then restart computer, the NetResQ card will find the empty HDD.

6.After all clients connect to server, you can select to transmit all partition data ( Select all check-box of partitions) in Server computer.

From our experenence, the netclone speed had ever been reported from 60M/Min to 530M/Min. Basically, the low speed is from the bad network environment. But the real situation is not so simple. The speed of netclone is related to all network components deeply. The switch, hub, RJ45 socket, cable, Lancard and even the main board all can affect the performance of netclone. In general, you can do following steps to solve problem:

• Disconnect the internet access from your local area network, Sometimes, in some network environment, the internet link will send some packet to all connected computers. It will deeply affect the speed of netclone.
• Disconnect different switches and hubs when you run netclone. Some switches and hubs can get high netclone speed when they work independently. But can not work well when they are stacked.
• Change your cable and RJ45 connectors if they have no good performance.
• Change your Lancard into NetResQ card which can make sure to provide high netclone speed from lancard.
• Change your mainboard to another model so as to check whether your main board can support netclone very well.

For Win9X/ME, after netclone, it displays in Device Manager that the lancard is working normally. But it can not work well actually. What’s the trouble?

It is frequent for us to find such problem in Win9X/ME system. Sometimes, if we double click Network Neighborhood, It will display “Can not browse network”. In this case, you have to configure the Lancard properties again to let it work normally. This is unstability of OS.

On the other hand, for different clients, you will insert NetResQ card into different PCI slot. The OS can not locate the exact position of LanCard in computer system. After netclone, all parameters will let system display that the Lancard is working normally. But it is not the truth always. That’s the reason why, sometimes, you find that it will install new found Lancard when computer is restarting.

You should delete the existed Lancard from Device Manager. Then restart computer and install the drivers for Lancard again. For NetResQ, all Microsoft OS Installation CD include its drivers. No need additional FDD or drivers CD

Before netclone, you should enter server OS to run tool program IPConfig.exe. This program will prepare the auto assigned computer ID information to all clients. will work after you You can find this program in CD with shipment or you can download it from our website.
Please run IPConfig.exe in following steps:

If your computer system has not only 1 Lancard, you must confirm the connection name for NetResQ card. Then it can be used for netclone function to assign computer ID automatically.

Please check your network subnet mask and input it here.

Note: If you missed to enter ResQ main menu but to enter OS, you must run IPConfig.exe again before redo netclone function.

After all clients finish netclone and restart to enter OS, it will give error message “Repeat IP address or computer name”. Just wait a minute, the computer will configure the computer ID by itself and restart automatically in 1 minute. After that, the computer can work well in OS with appointed computer ID.
